Today's #ArtfulPup is from a few years ago when we saw this circa 1939 drawing “Half of Green Man with Dog, Plant, and Figures," by Bill Traylor (1853-1949), on loan from the William Louis-Dreyfus Foundation for an exhibition at the Smithsonian American Art Museum. Traylor was born into slavery in Alabama and became a self-taught artist in his mid 80s.
